Appointment of New Members to the Board of Directors
St Jude’s is proud to share the appointment of new members to our Board of Directors. The following individuals joining our board bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise that will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of St Jude’s Group. Their diverse backgrounds and proven track records in the health sector make them valuable additions to our leadership team, reflecting our commitment to maintaining strong corporate governance.
Hon. Helen Morton, Non-Executive Director
Helen Morton served as member of the Western Australian Legislative Council and the Minister for Disability Services, Mental Health, and Child Protection during her tenure. Helen made a significant contribution to WA’s mental health landscape and is responsible for implementing many important reforms. Her passion for mental health reform contributed to the establishment of Australia’s first Mental Health Commission, the State’s first independent Minister for Mental Health, the enactment of a modernised, contemporary Mental Health Act, completion of the WA Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Services Plan 2015 – 2025 and the State’s first suicide prevention strategy.
Andrew Reynolds, Non-Executive Director
Andrew is a Certified Practicing Accountant with extensive experience in the disability services sector. He is an experienced Board member and Treasurer, and currently works with and volunteers for charity and not-for-profit organisations. He is a dedicated finance professional with over 25 years of experience in banking, mining and higher education. His principal strengths extend to financial and management accounting, treasury, risk management, information technology, corporate governance, and forensic accounting.
Associate Professor Rosemary Saunders, Non-Executive Director
Rosemary Saunders is an Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University and a Research Fellow at Hollywood Hospital. Rosemary’s esteemed career in academia spans more than 30 years, with her research encompassing older adult care, stroke care, volunteers in healthcare, end of life care and more. She is highly passionate about aged care and senior living and has received numerous awards and recognition for research and leadership in providing innovative health care services for older adults.
The collective skills and insights of our new board members align with St Jude’s purpose, values, and strategic goals for the future. We are confident that their guidance will bring fresh perspectives and contribute to our ongoing efforts to drive innovation, foster growth, and enhance our overall business performance.
